Cool-season grasses mature in summer and become too low in energy and protein to meet the requirements of cattle. Drought or excess rains also reduces protein content in forages, and limited winter grasses cause a major decrease in available pastures. Providing hay and MIX-30 along with a solid vitamin and mineral program will give you the basis needed for a strong herd no matter the size.
